The automatic mic muting, surround sound functionality, and every other popular feature will work seamlessly with the PS5.
Connecting the Headphones Via Bluetooth
First, plug up the mini transmitter that came with the headset. The different colored lights you see on the dongle indicate whether or not the device is paired.
Solid blue means the pair is successful.
Double blinking means there is no connection made. Finally, red means the microphone is muted.
The headphone LED can also blink different colors.
Specifically, a breathing red light means your headphone is on low charge.
You’ll need to plug them up soon for continued use.
Luckily, you can keep using the Stealth 600 headset while it is charging.
Once the dongle is plugged in you will see blinking blue lights until you turn on the headphones.
Hold the headphones next to the dongle and power them up.
After about ten seconds both the light on the dongle and the light on the headphones will turn solid blue.
Now it’s time to tell your PlayStation 5 which audio feed to use.
Navigate to settings, sound, then microphone.
Select input devices and select USB headset Turtle Beach.
Next, select audio output and click output device. Scroll down until you see the headphones subsection.
Select output to headphones and change it to all audio.
Finally, scroll up to headphone volume and turn it all the way up.
Why Do My Turtle Beach Headphones Not Have Bluetooth?
If your Turtle Beach headphones didn’t come with a Bluetooth adapter, you may have a problem.
It’s likely that you have purchased the Xbox version of the Stealth 600 headphones.
These headphones are designed to work exclusively with Xbox’s alternative to Bluetooth connectivity.
They also work with some Windows machines.
Xbox has its own technology and doesn’t support Bluetooth.
This technology, simply called Xbox Wireless, is built into the Xbox version of the headphones and only support pairing with Microsoft products.
They simply won’t work for the PlayStation 5.
It’s easy to tell which version of the headset you have.
The PlayStation 5 version has blue accents and blue lights.
The Xbox version has a green color pattern.
If you’ve purchased the Xbox version, don’t worry, you’ll still be able to use the headset with your PC if it supports Xbox Wireless or if you purchase a USB adapter for your PC.
The adapter does not work with a PlayStation 5 though.
My Stealth 600 Dongle Stays Blinking
You may notice that your dongle continues to blink even after you’ve turned on your headphones.
This is likely due to outdated firmware on your headphones. It’s an easy fix and should only take a few minutes.
You’ll have to update the Stealth 600 headset’s firmware by connecting it to a Windows machine or a MAC.
The Turtle Beach Audio Hub software is not yet available for ChromeOS.
You’ll have to download the software from Turtle Beach’s official website via Windows or MAC.
After the software has been downloaded, plug both the headset and USB dongle into your computer.
Open up the software and click update firmware.
Do not remove either device from your computer during the installation.
Once it’s completed, you should have no problem connecting the headphones to your PlayStation 5.
What Is Turtle Beach Audio Hub?
Audio Hub is a control system for your headphones.
It should be downloaded even if you don’t run into issues with your headphones.
It allows you to plug up your headphones to your computer to easily change any number of settings
Certain features can be disabled completely, volumes and sensitivities can be adjusted, and much more.
The software is simple, sleek, and easy to use.

Download the software and you won’t be sorry.
It opens up a whole new world of headphone customization.
Does Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Come With a 3.5mm Aux?
The newest version of the Turtle Beach Stealth 600, Gen 2, does not come with a 3.5mm aux cable.
It doesn’t support wired functionality at all.
However, the older Gen 1 model can be used both wirelessly and wired.
The Gen 2 model is made to streamline the experience to modern day, and the USB-C port is used exclusively for charging the headphones.
Removing wired capabilities from devices is becoming more and more popular as of late because it is cheaper to be manufactured, and those costs savings are often handed down to the customer.
Why Can I Hear Myself In My Stealth 600 Headset?
The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 has built in Microphone Monitoring.
This allows you to be able to hear your own voice through the headset when you speak.
It allows the user to monitor his own volume since wearing headphones makes it hard to hear yourself talk.
Alternatively, your microphone’s sensitivity might be turned up too high.
If you are hearing an echo of your voice or reverb from your own room, try turning down your microphone volume via your PC or MAC with the Turtle Beach Audio Hub software.
