Kern’s take: I own this one. It is the primary music player in the beach house family room and it comes out to the backyard with us, though it is not a boat, sand, or weather speaker. My honest knock on it has always been the money, that it costs a lot more than the Bose and JBL lines, and $399 is the price that answers that. It has held this number on every check since August 10, and it never printed below $494.99 in its first nineteen tracked mornings.

Kern’s take: the step between the Charge and the Boombox, from the JBL line that has never let us down. This is $17 off the price it held every morning for the past two weeks, so it is a real move worth telling you about. Here is the part most deal pages leave out: our own history has this speaker at $265.95, and it spent much of July between $265 and $282, so $292.83 is a good price rather than the best one we have seen. If you want it now, this beats the last fortnight. If you can wait, the number to hold out for starts with a 2 and a 6.

Kern’s take: Apple Watches are the one wearable our family keeps buying. This watch sat at $299.00 on every single morning check from August 2 through August 14, went to $278.07 yesterday morning, and is $272.09 now. That is the lowest number in eighteen days of our tracking and it is nearly $27 off the price it held for two solid weeks. If the Series 11 is the model you want, our data says this is the best moment we have recorded.

One more BUY call without a card today: the AirPods Pro hold $189.99, the lowest price we have tracked on them, for an eleventh straight check and 3.3% below their own average. Three products beat them on discount this afternoon, which is the only reason they do not have a card.

  • Roku Streaming Stick 4K $44.54 sitting right at its own average. A fair price today, and $42.74 is the lowest we have tracked at a morning check.
  • Roku Ultra $89.00 eased 70 cents to $89.00, still a fair everyday price rather than a deal. $81.95 is the lowest we have tracked at a morning check.
  • Echo Dot (current gen) $49.99 flat every day we have tracked it, a fair everyday price.
  • Blink Outdoor 4 kit $164.99 a fair price today. Our own history has this kit at $104.99 for eight days in late July, and that lower number is worth waiting for.
  • TP-Link Deco mesh system $149.98 flat nearly every day, the real everyday price.
  • eero mesh system (current gen) $349.99 flat every day we have tracked it, a fair everyday price.
  • Apple Watch Ultra 3 (GPS + Cellular 49mm) $779.00 unchanged at $779.00, a touch above its own average. It printed $729.00 for four days in early August and that is the number worth waiting for.
  • Honeywell Home RTH9585WF WiFi Smart Color Thermostat $119.59 down $4.40 from yesterday morning and back into the lower half of its range. It bounces between $116 and $124; $115.95 is the lowest we have tracked, and a number near that is the one to act on.
  • Amazon eero 6+ mesh wifi router (1 pack) $139.99 flat across all eight of our checks so far, we just started tracking it.

Kern’s take: one charger for phone and laptop, holding $29.99 every check since August 4, after 14 straight days at $19.99 from July 20 through August 2. That is the biggest premium on our whole board today by a wide margin. Wait for the twenty dollar number to return.

Kern’s take: three households in our family run eero, the beach house, my parents, and my father in law, and the system earns its seal every day. This 3 pack at $299.99 is the wrong day to buy it: our own tracking has this exact kit at $194.99 for five days in late July, $105 less than today. If you need mesh wifi right now, the single unit in the fair strip above is the honest way in.

You missed it: the Roku Ultra hit $75.99 on this page at our 2pm check on Thursday, August 13, which was $5.96 under the lowest morning price in twenty three days of our tracking. It is $89.00 today. Anyone who acted on that card is $13.01 ahead, and the WAIT call we ran on the same box on August 12 is what pointed at it. That is why this page is worth a daily look.

How Deal Watch works

We track prices ourselves, every single day, on products that earned the Gadget Buyer seal. Some we own, some our family runs daily, some we researched until we would stake our name on them. We never imply we own something we do not.

Because we keep our own price history, our calls do not depend on the sticker “list price” games retailers play. When we say lowest we have tracked, that is our own data talking.

The WAIT call is the part nobody else does. When a price is bad, we say wait. That costs us commissions and earns your trust, which is the better trade.

Two more WAIT calls without cards today: the Roku Streambar holds $99.00, matching the highest price we have recorded for it and 8.1% above its own average; and the Fire TV Stick 4K holds $49.99 at 4.2% above its own average, and it printed $39.99 for seven straight days earlier this month.

The Anker MagSafe battery pack is showing $69.99, which is 12.4% below its own average and would earn a card on price. It stays off the board a second day because Amazon still is not showing a straightforward in stock listing for it, and we will not send you to a page you cannot buy from. We will re flag it the moment stock reads clean.

Four JBL speakers stay off the page because Amazon is hiding their real prices today. The Charge has only a third party listing at $142.45 and the Flip has only a third party listing at $101.96. The Boombox and the PartyBox have no priced listing at all, so we have nothing honest to report on either. None of those is a real buy box price, so none of them gets published. All four return the day a real price prints.
