The Apple Watch is great for keeping track of your fitness goals, monitoring your health needs, and letting you know when it’s time to get up and move.
It’s also continued to improve with each new version that Apple has released. Some of the latest models of the Apple Watch can manage your emails, help you set reminders of upcoming events and even play music.
One of the best features of the Apple Watch is that it’s attached to your body. So, unlike your iPhone or iPad, it’s much harder to leave it somewhere by accident or lose it.
But being able to customize your Apple Watch with your own unique features has grown in popularity, especially because the Apple Watch has grown in popularity, too. Just like an iPhone, it’s easy to set down your Apple Watch and have someone mistake it for their own.

Changing the background wallpaper on your Apple Watch is one of the easiest ways to make it feel more like a reflection of who you are and safeguard it from being mistaken for someone else’s. Let’s explore the ways in which you can change your Apple Watch’s wallpaper to make it feel more like you.
1. Choose One of the Designs That is Already Stored in Your Apple Watch
Apple has made it easy to change the wallpaper on your Apple Watch by creating certain background images that you can use to customize your watch if you find an image that you like.
Your Apple Watch comes equipped with a bunch of different ways to change the look of your watch from the moment you take it out of its packaging and put it on your wrist.
In fact, you can right away opt for over a dozen different backgrounds, depending on what mood strikes you at any given moment or day.
You also have the option of changing the colors of the current background on your Apple Watch, as well as changing the fonts and the size of the different displays, depending on which ones are the most important to you.
None of these are very difficult to change.
Begin by making sure your Apple Watch is on and the watch face is lit up. Press on the watch face and hold down until the current face is illuminated.
Once your watch is in response mode, begin scrolling through your different options. You will see a variety of different backgrounds come across your screen.
When you find one that suits your mood or current need, tap that one. Now your watch will begin to display the new background, replacing the old one with the one you’ve chosen.
Now, if you also want to make additional changes to the way your background looks, tap the “Customize” button at the bottom of your watch screen.
The “Customize” button will then ask you to follow a series of prompts that will allow you to change things such as “Font,” “Size,” and “Color.” Keep selecting until you are satisfied with the way your background now looks on your display screen.
2. Choose a Background from One of Your Own Photo Images
Another fun way to change the wallpaper on your Apple Watch is to really give it a customized look by adding a photo or other image that you already have saved on your iPhone or other Apple device.
Our iPhones have become pocket-sized photo albums. Most of the latest models can store up to hundreds of photos, and the quality of those photos has continued to improve with increasingly advanced cameras and high-resolution picture-taking capabilities.
Scrolling through your favorite photos on your iPhone is fun, and you will surely find a few that you would like to make into a personalized wallpaper for your Apple Watch.
And, the good news is, that you can continue to change these photos out when a new event happens, a new season starts, or you have a certain event that calls for a certain photo to be displayed.
To add your own photo as your Apple Watch background, just follow a few easy steps.
First, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. You will see a variety of options appear. Tap the “Face Gallery” icon on the bottom of your screen.
Tap the “Photos” tab. You will then need to tap the “Content” tab and then “Albums”. This will allow you to access photos from your “Favorites” list. (If you don’t have any “favorites”, you will need to go into your iPhone and select some.)
At this point, your Apple Watch will give you a handful of options of how you want the photo displayed, whether you want it to be at the top, bottom, or full screen.
Keep following the various prompts until you are satisfied with the photo you’ve chosen and the position in which it is to be displayed.
When you are happy with the layout, select “Done.” Your Apple Watch should immediately begin displaying your photo in its background the way you wish. If it doesn’t look right, you can go back in and reset it to reflect the look you were hoping for.
