My Opinion: Would I Buy It Again?

No. I would not buy the JBL Go again. This said, If I had only listened to the JBL Go 2 I would likely say yes to buying it. It is definitely well built. However, I have tested so many other portable Bluetooth speakers that are also waterproof that I would rather own.

Only buy the JBL Go (series 1, 2 or 3) only if you need a super small speaker that is waterproof. There are a lot of better-sounding speakers on the market, like the JBL Flip (4, 5, 6 etc.)

In fairness to the JBL Go, it is just too much to ask for great sound from such a small speaker.

I would spend more and get the JBL Flip before spending the money on the JBL Go series of speakers. The sound quality of the JBL Flip is far-far superior to the JBL Go. That’s my honest take on it.

*Expert Tip: If you want to save money, go ahead and buy one of the older models like the Flip 4 and 5. I absolutely love them. I don’t think you need to spend the extra money unless you just want to or you are giving it as a gift.
