I’m glad you found me! I live in North Carolina with my wife and two teenage kids.
Beyond where I’m from, what I am most known for is my passion for technology and especially consumer electronics (aka Gadgets). I have always been the guy everyone goes to for help figuring out how to work their technology gear.
This passion for tech led me to get a Batchelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Marketing from Appalachian State University. I later went on to graduate school and earned my Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Pfieffer University.
After school, I gained a lot of hands-on experience working for the world’s largest privately owned software company which focused on business intelligence software.
During my time in the corporate world, I had the urge to start a website as a way to help people and help fuel my passion for tech. As a result, I went out and bought over $3,000 worth of Bluetooth portable speakers to figure out what the very best speaker was for my needs.

The Gadget Buyer Story
As someone with a deep passion for technology and a degree in computer information systems, creating a website that helps people make informed decisions about their tech purchases was a natural step for me. I’ve always been the go-to person for family and friends when it comes to tech-related questions, and I wanted to share my expertise with a larger audience.
I’ve always been fascinated by how technology can enhance our lives and make things easier. As I gained more experience working with different tech devices and software, I developed a deep understanding of how they work and how to optimize their performance.
But I realized that not everyone had the same level of experience, and many people found the tech buying process overwhelming. I saw an opportunity to use my knowledge to help others, and that’s how The Gadget Buyer website was born.
The Gadget Buyer website got started as a result of my deep curiosity about gadgets. In this case, it was specifically about portable Bluetooth speakers. I wanted to figure out the best Bluetooth speaker that would perform well on our boat, at the beach, in the backyard, and at football tailgate parties. I ordered every brand mentioned on the web and started buying from Amazon and Best Buy.
The boxes started piling up, and my family thought I was crazy… (I admit I was crazy for spending over $3,000 on Bluetooth speakers!). I went about trying out all of the speakers, and most were just “okay,” but a few really stood out. Then the question became what to do with this knowledge. I knew very few people would be as dumb crazy wild as I was to order and try this many speakers. As a result, I had to find a way to share my knowledge and try to earn back the money I spent buying all of the speakers.
This is what gave me the idea to start The Gadget Buyer back in 2021 as a way to share my knowledge and passion for technology. I knew lots of people had questions just like me, and I had the desire to simplify the process of selecting and purchasing the right tech products. My aim for the site is to always provide expert advice, reviews, and recommendations for everything tech-related, from computers and peripherals to software and internet connectivity. With our in-depth knowledge and dedication to quality, we aim to be your trusted source for all your tech needs.
